El cuatro de julio perfecto en el estado de Washington

Se puede argumentar que el evento de verano que define es el 4 de julio, ¡el día que celebra la independencia de nuestra gran nación! En el estado de Washington, encontrará celebraciones prósperas para esta tradición estadounidense. Desde ferias hasta exhibiciones de fuegos artificiales y festivales llenos de diversión, estos excelentes eventos hacen que el 4 de julio de 2019 sea perfecto en Washington.  

1. Feria de la Libertad, Tacoma, WA

Si está buscando un lugar para pasar el 4 de julio, ¡no busque más allá de Tacoma! La Feria de la Libertad, una feria anual que se lleva a cabo durante los últimos 40 años, tiene mucho que ofrecer a cualquier visitante de la feria. El evento que tendrá lugar el 4 de julio incluye vistas como un espectáculo aéreo, una exhibición de autos, entretenimiento en vivo en sus siete escenarios diferentes y, por supuesto, ¡fuegos artificiales! 

2. SCCA Seafair Summer 4th, WA

SeaFair es otra gran manera de pasar el 4 de julio. Con este evento de un día en Seattle, ubicado en Gas Works Park, el día estará repleto de cosas que hacer para todos, y los fuegos artificiales fueron votados como algunos de los mejores de la nación. El evento está lleno de vendedores de comida, puestos de exhibición y entretenimiento en vivo. La entrada es gratuita para que los huéspedes se sientan más cómodos para disfrutar de los vendedores de comida y los mayores de edad puedan disfrutar de los jardines de cerveza y bebidas.  

3. 4 de julio, Kirkland, WA

What better way to spend the Fourth of July than at a parade? Well, in Kirkland, you can do just that! The parade is an all-day event, with multiple different types ranging from a children’s walking parade, to an old fashioned one as well. The festivities don’t end there though, there is also a children’s decorating event with flags, tattoos (don’t worry parents, they’re temporary), and more family fun, as well as a music in the park to end the parade, with fireworks to end the night. 

4. Bellevue Family 4th, Bellevue, WA

Another place to go for some great Fourth festivities is Bellevue, a tradition of nearly three decades. This year their “Bellevue Family 4th” will be occurring at the Bellevue Downtown Park. Lots of music, entertainment, family fun, as well as fireworks co-occurring with Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra sets the stage for this day of fun! 

5. Auburn 4th of July Festival, Auburn, WA

Auburn, Washington, can hold its own when it comes to Fourth of July celebrations! With festivities located in Les Grove Park, you can’t go wrong. The day starts with a bike parade, and goes on to feature to different stages for entertainment, arts and crafts areas, a car show, and multiple rides and other fun activities like a rock wall for all to enjoy! 

6. River of Fire Festival, Kennewick, WA

This year, the Annual River of Fire Festival will be held in Columbia Park. This festival, located in Kennewick, focuses on entertainment as well as heritage enrichment, as there will be a photo booth for pictures with historical characters available. 

7. Riverfront 4th of July Festival, Spokane, WA

This Fourth of July, Spokane will also be hosting its own celebration, throughout downtown. At Riverfront Park there will be food, music, and group performances, all in anticipation for nightfall when the fireworks begin! The event schedule is jam packed, a magic show followed by a hypnosis show, live music, kids area, and for the adults a beer garden. Top it off with food from some of the best food vendors in the area such as Azar’s Greek Food and you’ve got yourself quite the night!

8. Independence Day at Fort Vancouver, Vancouver, WA

Independence Day at Fort Vancouver is taken very seriously. This year, the fireworks display, in synchronization with music, will be held at Pearson Airfield. The event is free of charge and sure to impress. The experience is in the crowd, so bring your family, and set up a nice location for you all to hang out for the evening or whole day!

9. Yakima 4th of July Festival, Yakima, WA

Come enjoy the Fourth of July in Yakima, at their Yakima 4th of July Festival! The festival, to be held at the State Fair Park, features a carnival with a myriad of rides for everyone, as well as live entertainment, including “Yakima Apple Jam” Battle of the Bands contest! There will also be a beer garden for the older crowd, of course, the night will finish with a firework display. 

10. Carnation 4th of July, Carnation, WA

Last but not least, celebrate at the Carnation 4th of July, in Carnation. The festival starts with a parade, and goes on to host a pancake breakfast, 5K race, live music, three on three basketball, a car show, a beer garden, and best of all Sno-Valley Senior’s famous “Strawberry Shortcake Feast.”
