The City of Harrisburg invites people to share in their New Year’s Eve Celebration. Streets will be closed to traffic from Chestnut Street to Walnut Street, with festivities beginning at 9 p.m. There will be superheroes and a princess for the kids, as well as party hats and story time. Dancing in the street starts at 9 p.m., and is led by Fitness U. The annual Strawberry Drop takes place at midnight, with fireworks following on its heels. There is no cost for this event.
New Year’s Eve in Lancaster City, Lancaster, PA
New Year’s Eve in Lancaster City will be held at Binns Park from 10 p.m. to midnight and will include music by One Too Many. The 10-piece local band is well known in the region. They play a little of everything, from rock to blues and R&B. Vendors will be on hand from which guests may purchase hot chocolate and light foods. The traditional lowering of the Red Rose, followed by fireworks takes place at midnight. There is no cost for admission.
New Year’s Eve with the Smucker’s, Bird-in-Hand, PA
For a wholesome New Year’s Eve celebration the whole family will enjoy, make a reservation to spend the night at the Bird-in-Hand Family Inn and spend New Year’s Eve With the Smuckers. Yes, they’re the Smuckers of the popular jelly and jam brand. The evening includes pizza and snacks, games and a sparkling cider toast at midnight. The NYC festivities will air on several television sets, so all can keep apprised. There is no cost for those staying at the inn to attend the party. The party starts at 9 p.m., and is located in the lobby of the pool building.
